We are sorry to inform you that on May 1st, 2020, at the age of 93, Olga Nikolaevna Kulikovskaya-Romanova, the widow of Tikhon Nikolaevich, the son of Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, the nephew of the last Russian Emperor Nikolay II, fell asleep in the Lord in her apartment in Balashikha near Moscow.
Olga Nikolaevna is a Russian public figure, honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Arts (2005), author of many publications in the foreign and Russian press, member of the Union of Writers of Russia.
She was born on September 20, 1926 in Yugoslavia in the family of Russian emigrants.
She graduated from the Mariinsky Donskoy Institute for Noble Maidens. During the Second World War, she was interned in Germany, and later moved to South America, where she received a medical, commercial, architectural education. After moving to Canada, she worked as a translator in government institutions.
She and her husband were parishioners of Christ the Saviour Cathedral (Toronto).
In 1991, together with her husband Tikhon Nikolayevich, she organized the Charity Fund “Assistance to Russia” named after Her Imperial Highness Grand Duchess Olga Alexandrovna, her mother-in-law.
After her husband’s death in 1993 led the Fund.
Olga Nikolaevna will be buried at the York cemetery in Toronto on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
